Attractions at The Thomas Shop
Here are a few of our in and out of house activities.
The Thomas Shop/Museum has been restored following its closure in 1958. The current fittings date back to 1805. There was a shop on this site as early as 1730.
The Pressing Room Gallery now features the Wool Emporium. Sponsored by Europe, through Glasu, this is an exciting new venture to Showcase Wool and Fibre products primarily from Wales and the Marches.
The Engine Room Café caters for light refreshments with delicious home cooked food (using local ingredients) and with (Ferrari) Welsh teas and Coffee. We also cater for pre-booked groups visiting the premises, and for parties and other functions. Currently we are looking for a catering business, as a specialist provider, to take over this, increasingly, thriving element of the work.
The Laundry has many functions as well as being an overflow for the café. There are regular exhibitions, and it is available for hire for parties, meetings, seminars, small conferences, workshops and courses. For a complete listing of forthcoming events, click Here.
